Sometimes the small projects can be the most rewarding. Here are some examples.
This Kitchen is apart of a larger renovation project in New Orleans. The home is in the heart of the historic Garden District. Originally built in 1857, our goal was to remove layers of design that did not honor the original design. Our work in the kitchen was the complete design of cabinetry, furniture, kitchen hood, counter top details, redesign of windows, and connections to adjacent courtyard spaces. More to come of this project ...
This Masterbath for the 1857 Home, made the transformation from 1980's Dynasty to a softer approach. We married the bedroom with a pocket door, and related the palette with the Carrara Marble found in the home. Custom cabinetry, terrazzo vanity, plumbing specification, accessories, and window screen.
1 bath for 3 boys need a little lift.... to say the least!
The kitchen is the heart of every home. A place where everyone gathers, unwinds, down loads (or uploads)of the days events. The extent of our work for this family of four + 2 furries, was to update the kitchen, and engage the stair with the same gesture. Designing the cabinets, doors, built-in seating, materials, furniture & lighting selections. Collaborating with this family was quite a joy.
The entry to Sweetwater Brewrey we were asked to engage the 2 story space with a playful statement & seating. The famous 420 beer inspired this piece that is composed of 420 twisted bottles, in reminiscent of a hopps bud.
We often can't stop designing. For our client's event space he wanted bar stools that reflected his fondness for all thing from Montana. Ron, a wood worker from Montana provided these stumps. Only fitting that everyone would have a stump to ponder the world from the bar.
A tiny tiny Master bath in a Historic home in the Garden District of NewOrleans. 75 SQFT is a small space to pack in a 6'long soaking tub, custom terrazzo double rosewood vanity, steam shower, wall hung toilet, and lot of concealed storage. With a west facing window to a busy street,we created a custom screen that would defuse the light and the view from the street. A custom blend of marble floortile, provide a playful flourish at your feet. More than a great place to wash your face.
A small bathroom, laundry room and closet were modified to accommodate this master bath and master closet. The tub is set against a pair of french doors that open to the beautifully landscaped backyard and fountain. The clients love for Eastern cultures and sensibilities created the finish palette.
Renovation of a building's interior/exterior courtyard to remedy water issues and curb appeal.
